JUST BACK FROM PARTICIPATING IN A HISTORY-MAKING EVENT – THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY’S LARGEST EVENT EVER HELD ONBOARD THE LARGEST CRUISE SHIP IN THE WORLD

Shannon and I have just returned from Vacation.com’s 14th International Conference & Trade Show onboard Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas®. While attending the industry’s largest event onboard the largest cruise ship in the world, we learned about the latest mobile technology, social media, travel trends and some of the world’s most appealing destinations. Winchester Travel has been a proud member of Vacation.com since 1998. Vacation.com is the largest travel services marketing organization in North America, serving more than 5,100 independent retail travel agencies across the United States and Canada.

We were among more than 1,200 industry professionals to attend the history-making event. The conference is a valuable venue for travel professionals to learn more about the industry and to network with high-level representatives of cruise lines, resorts and other travel providers.

“In order to create truly unforgettable travel experiences for our valued clients, it’s crucial for us to stay on top of the latest industry developments,” said Shannon, Operating Partner. “By attending Vacation.com’s conference, we have access to inside information and exclusive new amenities we can offer our clients that consumers cannot find online.”

Attendees learned extensively about sustainable tourism, travel tools, and marketing from some of the industry’s best speakers. The action-packed 7-day cruise featured more than 100 training sessions.

Attending a major conference such as this one enhances our knowledge base and allows us to match our clients with the perfect vacation. Now, if we need to make special requests, we have the connections with various travel provider that can help us successfully do so.

We were also provided the opportunity to explore the Oasis of the Seas in order to become more familiar with its incredible amenities. In doing so, agents gained first-hand experience they can pass on to their clients as valuable advice on making the most of their voyage. In addition, we also spent time exploring the many sites in the popular ports of call of Nassau, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.
